Chick Camp - a Listen Local Radio Fundraiser
Chick Camp has been gathering women together under the stars since the early 2000s and this year I'm SUPER excited to invite you to The Pinecrest Retreat in Julian for a weekend of music, art and good times under the stars.
This event is LADIES ONLY, tent camping (some car camping), dog friendly dogs welcomed, kids not recommended. $40.00 per guest includes 2 nights of camping (byo gear), breakfast on both days plus a gift goodie bag with tons of great stuff. Limited space so RSVP today, refunds (less $10 fee) given through July 31st.
Your participation helps keep the Listen Local Show on the radio. Since becoming truly independent last year, all Listen Local Radio events are fundraisers and your help keeps the radio show and all of our endeavors happening. Chick Camp is our long standing "date with the girls". The mission is simply to get away, get outside, meet new women friends and do new things. Strum a guitar, learn to paint, make a necklace or just read a book floating in the pool soaking up the sunshine.
WHERE: This year we're lounging at The Pinecrest Retreat in Julian, Ca. It's a vintage trailer park and Julian's ONLY resort pool. Check out this amazing place!
CHECK IN/FEE: $40 reserves your camping spot for Fri and Sat night and includes a welcome gift and breakfast both days. Check in anytime after noon on Friday, Sept. 16th, check out is noon on Sunday. Once you reserve your spot you can arrive/depart anytime within that time frame, full fee must be collected even if you only plan to stay for part of the event. We are limited to 50 girls so RSVP ASAP!
BYO: Bring camping gear (tent, air mattress, bedding, etc). There are a few "car camping" areas near us. Bring your food, water, coffee, adult bevies, etc. Bring arts, crafts, culinary skills and musical instruments. Most important: a CAMP CHAIR. Friendly quiet dogs are welcomed and this is ladies only.
ACTIVITIES: At check in you'll be given a song title for The Game which we'll play on Saturday around 6pm. Ladies can write/perform solo or choose a partner or group. The Game is optional BUT FUN so we encourage everyone to get in on it. Optional workshops include book binding, social media, vocal tips and more.
CANCELLATIONS: Refunds less a $10 service charge will be given for cancellations made before July 31st. This event is rain or shine.
