Hi, we are Jon and Cathryn Edwards (Cathryn Beeks). We have worked in the music industry in San Diego since 2000. We purchased our RV in 2017 and began working as resident volunteers at The San Dieguito Heritage Museum in May of that year. We moved to Lucerne Valley, CA in September of 2019 to take care of my parents. We were planning on returning to San Diego area in late 2020 but until the music industry returns we are exploring other options.

As independent contractors, our schedules are very flexible. We have no children. We have 2 friendly dogs and 2 cats and are seeking to lease land. We are also open to a caretaker/camp host or live/work trade situation.

Cathryn Beeks founded Listen Local in 2003 and works to support the local music community with podcasts, web shows, showcases, workshops, camping events and more. She offers photography and video services as well as event planning, advertising/marketing, web design, and various promotional services. She has produced and managed maker's markets with 60+ vendors. Cathryn is a singer/songwriter and performs with the all female band Calamity. She also has a small vintage clothing shop that she pops up when the weather is nice.

Jon Edwards has worked as a live audio engineer since 1998. He owns his own sound company and services many of the large street/beer festivals and concert series in San Diego. He has worked as head of production at several of San Diego's best music venues and is often requested by "big name" national acts. He is currently working as a freelance engineer and commuting to San Diego as needed. He is professional, courteous and a problem solver.  

We bought our 2000 Conquest in 2017 and we began living in it full time in May of 2017. We love it! We have a 2013 Honda Pilot and a 1994 Honda Odyssey. We also have a 1978 Chevy Step Van that serves as a recording/art studio and an 8' cargo trailer. Ideally we would also have a small wood storage shed. We have a 3.5' wire fence around the perimeter of our camp to keep the dogs secure. We like to garden and play in our yard, we keep it tidy and artistic. We both work from home and would be onsite the majority of the time. We would need access to water, power & WIFI. We have an external septic tank that we maintain every few months. We are extremely quiet and peaceful people.

We are seeking a minimum .10 of an acre to rent and set up camp for the long term, living happily ever after. We are also open to care taking or camp host positions that would allow our footprint. We are good with people and animals and are both very handy. We are in our 50s so while we don't have the strength we once did, we are not afraid of work and can always figure out a way to get the job done.
